Excellent – I go as often as I can. I usually end up getting takeout nowadays, but the decor is always clean and contemporary. I usually sit down only if I happen to be there for lunch these days, as it starts to get a little more crowded now due to the rising popularity of the spot. Parking is very much a hassle there. However, the staff and manager are friendly, and will remember you after 2-3 visits.
Yummy from a local – I get take out from Ginza once or twice a month since they've first opened. The food is always so so fresh. Although you have to wait in a small hallways it's worth it. They often will offer you hot tea while you wait for take out if it's not so busy. I have never waited more than 10 mins for sushi and cooked food even when its busy. Ginza is new and well lit along with the waitstaff who always so nice. You can mostly get away with parking right along the side of the building for short visit.
The Best of the Ginzas – Fantastic sushi that rivals, if not surpasses Oishii, great service and no wait!!! Only regret is that it is in Watertown, but that should help keep the crowds at bay.
Best Japanese Restaurnt in Boston – New Ginza is by far the best Japanese restuarant in Boston. The quality of the food at New Ginza is complemented by the creativity in its innovative dishes while the service is just impecable. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and professional. Overall, just an awesome dining experience. I would recommend this restuarant to any one truly appreciates Japanese cuisine. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Watertown surprise – New Ginza serves up some of the best sushi I've ever had (every time I visit!). I'm constantly impressed with the food, service, and even presentation. Price is typical, but is a value when you sample their high quality fare. Be prepared to wait on occasion, as the popularity of NG seems to be skyrocketing. Great atmosphere, and the service is really a treat.
Not worth the drive or the wait – Went there new year's eve, when we were kept waiting for more than half an hour despite having reservations. The sushi turned out to be bland and flavorless with a tiny selection of options. [The cooked food may have been better, I didn't try it.] There was no waiting area so diners seated by the door were subjected to our uninvited company as we were forced to stand by their tables. For the price, (old) Ginza is far better.
The BEST Around!!! – I've had sushi all over the pace and this is (surprisingly) the best & freshest around. Not too fancy but basic great food. The staff is friendly anddoes a great job. Reasonably priced. Who knew that you could find a place of this caliber in H2O-town???
Fantastic – This is truly my favorite place to dine. Every meal is perfectly prepared and melts in your mouth. Specials are just that: specially prepared delectible sushi. Always worth a try. I have plenty of favorites from the regular menu too. The salmon is the best around. So is the Toro (and fatty tuna WOW).
Best Sushi I've ever had! – This restaurant is truly amazing. Even after all the great reviews here on citysearch, it was pretty easy to get a reservation on this Valentine's day. The place is very accessible and parking wasn't that bad. The staff is very pleasant and provided individual attention to all their customers. Now about the food... The food was absolutely amazing! Starting with fast service and beautiful presentation of the dishes, to the delicate and superb taste of everything we ordered. We definately recommend ... read more
