good sushi, lovely atmosphere. – i love all the blond woods and friendly waiters. you don't have to head into the city for sushi this good! great lunch specials.
This restaurant is consistently fabulous! – We just happened to drive by it when we fist moved to Boston from Atlanta, and to our surprise it is the best Japanese food we've had so far. Every time we eat there the food is consistently fresh, the wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive. You must try the agedashi tofu dish, the broth that it comes in is very unique and delicious. We just made reservations for Valentine?s Day, and we were told that they will have some specials items on the menu. Maybe we?ll see you there.
Most innovative sushi menu anywhere!!! – New Ginza is excellent! It is the best sushi outside of Boston. The wait staff is so friendly, and they are great with children. The manager knows the names of all his regular customers and makes it a point to make them feel welcome. I cant wait to go to New Ginza when I get back home for winter break!!! Make sure to try the Mango maki, it is to die for!!!
Sushi fans head to the Newton/Watertown border for some of the area's top Japanese cuisine. – The Scene With a comfy, contemporary setting (think blond wood ceilings and tables) and an innovative sushi menu, New Ginza offers a slightly more interesting dining experience compared to the acclaimed Ginzas of Chinatown and Brookline (with which it's loosely affiliated). An army of quiet, knowledgeable waitresses serves as a direct link between diners and the master chefs that man the sushi bar. The Food New Ginza's kitchen does ... read more
Never had anything better – I was at New Ginza about a year ago and I still remember the taste. I am an avid sushi fan and have had sushi from all over. THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE EVER. We need a New Ginza here in New York and New Jersey!
Best Sushi in Boston – I'm a picky New Yorker and an admittedly harsh restaurant critic. We've gone to all the best-rated sushi restaurants in Boston, and think New Ginza is the best. It has a great variety of both basics and creations, consistently high quality, and a great friendly staff. Very reasonably priced as well.
Excellent – I go as often as I can. I usually end up getting takeout nowadays, but the decor is always clean and contemporary. I usually sit down only if I happen to be there for lunch these days, as it starts to get a little more crowded now due to the rising popularity of the spot. Parking is very much a hassle there. However, the staff and manager are friendly, and will remember you after 2-3 visits.
Yummy from a local – I get take out from Ginza once or twice a month since they've first opened. The food is always so so fresh. Although you have to wait in a small hallways it's worth it. They often will offer you hot tea while you wait for take out if it's not so busy. I have never waited more than 10 mins for sushi and cooked food even when its busy. Ginza is new and well lit along with the waitstaff who always so nice. You can mostly get away with parking right along the side of the building for short visit.
The Best of the Ginzas – Fantastic sushi that rivals, if not surpasses Oishii, great service and no wait!!! Only regret is that it is in Watertown, but that should help keep the crowds at bay.
