We hired this company through the recommendation of a nurse my husband works with. They were amazing in the beginning, but they ultimately let our Father suffer in unacceptable and unimaginable ways during his last days. They failed him and our family in trying to care for him in his last days. Our only desire was to keep him comfortable and there solutions were abysmal and pathetic. I called Gentiva Hospice with my situation at 4:30pm. They had someone working our case and on the phone with us by 4:38. His name is Dillon and he is an absolute godsend!! I have called him at late times and on weekends, and no matter what he picks up immediately and is completely on top of everything. He is compassionate and empathetic and has taken as much stress off of our shoulders as humanly possible. This company is wonderful and Dillon is a huge asset to Gentiva.

My Mom was on hospice with Gentiva for 2 months. I chose Gentiva because the administrator is a nurse I had worked with previously at another hospice. The star of Gentiva is unquestionably Dayana, the CNA who showered my Mom 3 times a week. She is competent and kind and worked well with my Mom. She was great. The Patient Care Manager, Kirsten, impressed me towards the end, but that was after some significant lapses in care. Gentiva hospice is one of the best hospice companies i have had the privilege to work with. They are my companies 1st choice with our residents. They deliver the most compassionate and loving care. I would always recommend them.

If you would have asked me last week to leave a review for this company, I would have happily left 5 stars, as while my father was going through his last week of life they were wonderful. Very caring, and a large help in his final days. We were told that they would be there for us, even after his passing. Well, once he was gone, they sent a nurse over to pronounce him dead, she stayed for about 15 minutes and was gone.
