NEMA has a lot of pros. The garage is convenient. The staff are great across the board. Things are generally on the new and clean side. Water is shut off weirdly often and without warning, but I’d like to think recent improvements to the system will prevent this from happening in the future. Hopefully you are luckier than we were and never have to deal with a serious safety/well-being issue, but if you do, beware. I’m a current resident at NEMA, and a recent experience here, I no longer feel confident in the building’s overnight security or management ability to maintain a safe building. Around 2:00 a.m., my wife and I were woken up by a loud party in the apartment above us. I called the front desk, but nobody answered. I went downstairs and spoke with the overnight team/security. We have lived in this building for the past two years, and until recently our experience had been positive. Unfortunately, the way our lease renewal was handled has been extremely disappointing. Several weeks before our lease expired, we contacted management and requested to see other available units in the building before deciding whether to renew.
