Gups gma I just saw the one negative review and do not believe it. We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Nelson and Dr. Hitchcock for a number of years. We have had dogs for 40 years and changed to this clinic when our previous doctor retired. We tried two other vets before a friend recommended Dr. Nelson. Both of these doctors are the best!
eghbb Dr. Nelson has provided care for my animals for the past eighteen years through the course of their lives. My dog was diagnosed with cancer at twelve years and had four operations that Dr. Nelson performed at a very resonable term and gave my pet two additional years of life. Dr. Nelson and his staff truely care about their patients and I would never care for my pets with anyone else.
Dr Nelson is the best! I am absolutely upset after reading the 1 bad review for Dr Nelson. Dr Nelson would never run tests that he didn't think were necessary. He has taken care of my pets for 15 years. 3 dogs and 1 cat . Dr Nelson has treated my old dog for Cancer (Cured), and a torn ACL (she walked totally normal after recovering from surgery). Both occurred in her 10th year, She lived to 14. Not a bad age for a Golden Retriever. I would recommend Dr Nelson and Dr Hitchcock to anyone! They are the best.
Dr. Matt Hitchcock I've been going here for almost 18 years and have seen alot of Vet's. Dr. Matt Hitchcock has got to be the best of them all. He takes the time to explain things to you. My Dog's are calm with him as he just has the best way to talk to them. He is very compassionate about his work and I couldn't have made it through having to put one of my Dog's down if Dr Hitchcock wasn't there to help me through the process. I hope he will be at Nelson's for years to come!

Puppy Mom Dr. Nelson is the best vet! As first time puppy parents, he answered all of our questions (no matter how silly), and taught us so much about our dog. The staff is friendly and responsive, and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. I recommend seeing Dr. Nelson if you can get him, or Dr. Hitchcock.
Nelson Clark Dvm - Nelson Animal Hospital is Tops Dr. Nelson has been our vet for 30 years. He has offered kind, responsive professional care to all of the pets (dogs and cats) we've had over the years. We also kennel our animals with Nelson when we are out of town. We wouldn't trust our little friends to anyone else.
Nelson Animal Hospital is not reccommended Everything you are afraid of with a vet bleeding you dry with unneccessary tests. I brought my dog in for a vomiting problem. After several tests and no results and the Dr throwing darts at the wall to determine what her problem was. I changed her back to her old food and it resolved the problem. Hmmm...maybe that should have been suggested after the 1st visit and we specifically talked about the food change. Be wary of this office.
Can you feel the love? Nelson Animal Hospital has been our choice for many years to take our dogs and cats too. We have always received the best service. Dr. Nelson is amazing, he is the only one that can control our very difficult chihuahua, and Dr. Douglas is first class. We are proud to be a member of Nelson's group and we refer anyone that might ask about a good vet.
