We were first time home buyers and we worked with Bob while shopping for rates. I remember being ecstatic when he came back and said "congrats you qualify for $0 down" because we had hopes and dreams of adding an outdoor kitchen, pool, and screened in porch to the home. Got a USDA through them. The staff are very unprofessional and bad at communicating. Heather was very nice, but reassured that certain things would not be problems (such as me having another mortgage) yet the underwriter, Madison, decided many things were problems and made things extra difficult when they didn't need to be. As a first time homebuyer I was extremely happy with Neighbors Bank. They provided great rates, quick responses and Khalil, the loan officer, was always available to answer questions. Their online portal is super easy to use and they made this process extremely easy. I'd recommend them.
As a realtor, I always appreciate when a loan officer goes above and beyond for my clients. Melissa Janke and her team did just that. Melissa was always available for any questions or concerns that I had, no matter if it was after business hours, the weekend it didn't matter. I really appreciated and enjoyed working with her to get my clients to the closing table. I will definitely refer others to her as well. Great job!
