Awful! She tried a procedure without even warning me that she was going to do it. No interpersonal skills at all. Very condescending.
The Ophthalmologist was very abrupt and uncaring. Her assistant Charmaine was awesome but that does not counteract the negativity shown by the Dr ? !The user agreement is not available for me to view. Why not ? Reasoning ?
Another eye specialist that I see a couple times every year referred me to Dr Saraiya for cataract care saying that she is an expert in the other general conditions I have that affect my eyes. Her 1st available appt was 5 months away, my vision deteriorated frustratingly quickly as I waited! As I prepared to head out for this appt I noticed that a staff member had just emailed to say that "since Dr Saraiya isn't going to be in the office today we are canceling your appointment"! Just referred to her and have not seen her yet. A little nervous after reading the negative reviews….Yikes!
Do not recommend over my experience with my son. Although Dr. Saraiya’s surgery on his eye was successful our experience with her and her senior business manager post op was very disappointing and concerning. I was unable to reach Dr. Saraiya to discuss concern of increased redness of my son’s eye so took him to see a local opthomologist specialist a day prior to Dr. Saraiya’s previously scheduled followup appointment. Dr. Saraiya is very caring and compassionate. I am a 66 year old woman who has cataracts in both eyes. Dr. Saraiya performed surgery on my left eye this week and she gave me direct information on what to expect before and after my surgery. When I went for my follow up she was very compassionate and informative. I go on the 25th to get my right eye done and I cannot think of anyone else I would rather have do it. I would and have recommended her to my friends and family.
Not willing to discuss diagnosis or treatment, argumentative, down right rude, condescending attitude when talking to patients. She is Disrespectful and has a nauseating personality. She is painfully unhappy with her profession, would suggest a different line of work. No compassion here.
Staff and physicians are friendly.
