I have been a patient of Dr. Karim‘s for more than a decade. I trust him completely, and, despite the fact that I have moved to an area further away, I have continued to see him for my care. Dr. Karim is an excellent listener and continues to research new and improved treatments. He is not arrogant or rigid in his approach to improving your health. He has really helped me throughout the past decade plus! He cares about his patients. He is flexible and supportive - I highly recommend him!!
Fair warning for all me people struggling with issues that typical require a neurologist, It sometimes takes months to get to see these specialists...so if you have ANYTHING other than migraines going on DO NOT go here. You will literally only be treated for migraines. My prior neurologist treated for everything neurological related. Don't be fooled into thinking you'll be treated for anything other than migraines here. and by the way every neurological symptom...is due to your migraines...apparently. Do NOT recommend. Initial visit was for symptoms of both memory fog and woozyness. Referred to PsyD for neurological testing. Did not address woozyness during visit; had to get 2nd referral with appropriate diagnostic code from PCP for this, and see him again. By this time, symptoms had progressed to neuropathy and paresthesia. Referred to EVMS for EMG. Test indicated no clinical neuropathy, despite continuing numbness in lower extremity that has progressed now up to buttocks. When advised, he indicated that he did not want ... read more
Dr. Karim attempted to coerce me into consuming medication as a condition for providing information to support my need for medical accommodations from my employer. He initially provided the necessary paperwork but later altered the form when I expressed concerns regarding the adverse effects of the prescription. He then stated that he would not provide the information for the medical accommodations unless I took the medication he prescribed. When I pointed out that my refusal to take the medication was independent of my need... read more
