Utility issues in lower Greene Lane where it's out more than 6 hours at a time. if the power goes out in the middle of the night, Navy Public works does not come out until the next morning. Balfour blames public works, public works blames Balfour. no one takes responsibilities and the residents continue to experience food loss due to their incompetence. RecommendedExcellent service in Greene Lane! Called about a malfunctioning smoke alarm and maintenance staff was here in under one hour to fix it.
I wouldn't recommend any of their homes. We had all the issues-- Mold, lead paint peeling, unsafe windows, peeling wood and lament flooring, basement flood, roof leaks, radiators not working making the rooms freeze... literally; furnace malfunctioning and to top it off. A fire. Ohh and we were only there for 11 months. Newport is amazing. NAVSTA homes.... Never again.
Staff will say anything to get you to sign the contract, even if it is a blatant lie. Check with residents of their homes and learn the truth! Then go look for a nice rental out in the community. You may pay a tiny bit more,but you will be happy with what you get and it won’t be falling apart and covered in mold.
If you enjoy you laundry flooding every time it gets below freezing this is the place for you.
Been here just a few months but have enjoyed it. Nice pool, clean grounds, amazing playgrounds, quiet polite neighbors, lighted walking paths and everyone cleans up after their pets. Management has been very responsive to our concerns and needed repairs are done in reasonable time. Took off a star for no grass in the fenced yard when we moved in. We planted seed and then bought sod but it was not much better. It would be super with nice grass! Suggestions would be... pet disposal boxes and more community activities like bing... read more
Recently I tried to get housing here, and the experience was horrible. My first encounter was marvelous, the girl who answered the phone was super helpful answered all my questions and promptly sent over the application. That is why I gave it one star, for her. This is where the downfall begins. I called again asking about housing where I was transferred to someone else, she told me I could get certain housing by the time i needed, I just had to fill out the application... Continue Reading
