The base has practically nothing on it and the guards at the gate are garbage. Navy is the worst branch of the military.

This has to be hands down the worst managed entry point I have ever had to use. The base itself is rather small and easy to get around just plan ahead because have had on multiple occasions just getting through the gate not even at peak times take 20mins or more.
Was stationed on this base for nearly four years, didn't think I would grow to actually miss it but had some good times here. Base gym is great in my opinion and has an awesome pool. Baseball diamond and football pitch with track makes for great space working out outdoors. Has a bus service to ferry people to and from the pier and the base galley and NEX are pretty good as well.
