I have never had a good experience at Balboa. I went in for fainting/hitting my head, nausea, and dizziness. Waited two hours for vitals and when I went to see if I would be getting them soon I told the nurse that my symptoms have gotten worse, then the nurse gave me horrible attitude and said it was going to be another three hour wait. JUST FOR VITALS. I knew going in it would take long to get a room but vitals should never take five hours to do. Sadly, I have never felt cared for here. I had an excellent experience with HN Kai in the emergency room. He helped me with all my troubles and made sure I felt supported the whole time. Very friendly, caring, and professional. I truly appreciate the way he handled everything and made a stressful situation so much easier. Highly recommended!
Special shout-out to Corpsman Alexander working in PICU 7/23, wonderful bedside manor, very calm and composed demeanor. Also to the female (nurse) Reservist from Idaho working the PICU on 7/24. Fabulous bedside manor, very efficient and kind. Additionally to the male nurse in the ED, I believe his name was Kenny and the female nurse with short grey hair and black glasses. AWFUL PLACE!!! They need to shut this useless place down and medical staff investigated, they show zero regard for you if you’re an active duty member, from a botched dental process to long waiting time, the navy do not care about people and it sickening
