Station at the Naval Hospital Beaufort in 1981 right after completing my Hospital Corpsman School in San Diego, CA. As an E-1 I worked at The A-3 Ward under LCDR Scarborough the charge nurse, taking care of young Marines who were under self care. At Beaufort Naval Hospital I met the best people you cold meet (Charlie). I returned in 1985 but this time as a Preventive Medicine Technician, great people also. I left the hospital as HMC and to this day, I still miss Beaufort, SC and the Hospital.... I'll be back....
My wife and I have been using the Hospital for about 30 yrs. We have had no problems and are glad the Hospital is here. Everyone is positive and well mannered. Thank you Navy for the care we receive. Joe and Judy Donnelly USMC retired.
My first duty station out of Corps School at the Lakes in Oct. '66. Returned for another year after two years with the Marines in Feb. '69. First worked SOQ as senior corpsman, then returned to work Patient Affairs under Senior Chief Bill Russell. Often think back to all the great people I knew there, and all the great times we had on and off duty.
Stationed there 1975-1976. Worked wards B1and SOQ.
I worked in the barbershop located on first floor in early '80's. Some great memories.
It was my first duty station (85-87). I have some really good memories of my time there.
