So under staffed they always send you to urgent care or the ER. Good luck getting a primary care appointment, I still dont even know who my PCM is. I dont think iv ever actually gotten an appointment with them, its always someone different. Not their fault though, like I said..... extremely under staffed.
They do NOT have sick call here. If you walk in at 0700 for sick call, they will see if their providers have any openings that day. If they do not have an opening, they will send you to Tripler ER or the Desmond Doss clinic. Just save yourself time and go to one of those locations for sick call.
The sheer difficulty to obtain medical care here boggles the mind — be prepared to be roadblocked and gatekept from medical care or out-patient referrals with little recourse. The earliest one can obtain an appointment with a PCM is 2 months and SIQ call is no better. In the latter case, I’m currently on night watch, so after coming in at 1045 following a shift, I was told there were no appointments. But — don’t worry — try again tomorrow at 0700 sharp.
