Too pricey! They carry a lot of excellent products but I have found them to be a lot more expensive than other natural pet stores in the Portland-Vancouver area. I suggest you check out other pet store prices for the same item before buying here.
Holistic Pets This is a great place if you are taking the natural route for feeding your pet. They have many foods and pet products that are holistic and more healthy. Because it is natural the prices are a little more expensive than average pet food but it is worth it if you want the best ingredients and products.
Natural Pet Natural Pet is a relatively large shop in a strip mall that welcomes your leashed pet. They specialize in natural, healthful, and expensive pet products--you won't find Kibbles n Bits for sale here. The sales staff are very friendly and will likely regale you with stories of their own pets (one of the owners brings her three gorgeous Boxers to work with her). Great selection, sometimes snotty staff In the years I have shopped here, I have been dazzled by the wide array of great (albeit expensive) foods, the wonderful products for our furry (or not) friends, and the normally pleasant staff. Great Dog Food/Knowledgable Staff The staff here was friendly and knew their stuff! I needed some food for my pug with a wheat allergy. The employee quickly suggested a few different types of brands that are suitable for her. The food was a little spendy but she's a little dog so a little food went a LONG way. After a month of being on their food her coat got shinier (yes a shiny pug!) and considerably softer! This place is great for special needs and good foods. They give terrible advice, far-fetched claims My furry pups get a half raw, half grain-free kibble diet, and I've been buying my kibble from Natural Pet NW for a couple years now. No more. I was in there for 5 minutes 2 days ago and that was long enough to overhear the one of the sales clerks give out 2 terrible pieces of misinformation. 1) A customer came in who had a dog with cancer & it was undergoing chemotherapy. Natural Pet NW Natural Pet is the best place in the whole metropolitan area. I've been shopping at the store for the past 11 years. Most of the staff has been working there since they opened. Many Vet's in the area refer to Natural Pet because they are so knowledgeable. I wouldn't shop any place else. No chemicals or by-products in the whole store. They are extremely active in local organizations in their community. A GREAT store!
great store!!!! What a pleasure to find a small, locally owned pet store that clearly cares about animals. The owner took a lot of time to help us with food choices (she let our dog try some samples because we live a good distance away) and toys and chews without added chemicals and preservatives. This is our new pet store!
