Would rate 0 stars if I could. It's an absolute shame that **** and this state allows this gang of utility pirates to exploit their ****************************** operates under deceptive, predatory, and unfair utility billing practices as well as violating the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act. NEP is not a public utility, yet it operates as oneproviding essential services (water, electricity, etc.) without oversight or customer protections. I believe their operations are a prime example of an unregulated utility acting aga... read more
This company needs to be sued the rates don't add up the electric bill almost high as the rent
If I could give 0 stars I would. I moved to a new town that uses nationwide energy partners and never ever have I had an electric bill this high. I work 6 days a week. Dont use lights because I use battery powered. Leave my thermostat between ***** and for 1 person Im charged almost $300 a month. For a 1 bedroom 1 bath under 600sq feet apartment. This company is a scam and I would never recommend.
************ charges more energy per month even when we use less energy than we did the previous month

Thank you for allowing us to address your concerns. We value your experience as a resident of a Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP) partner community. All residences in NEP-serviced communities are billed based on the metered usage in the unit. NEP individually meters each unit to determine actual usage, using the same quality, state-of-the-art industrial smart meters deployed by the utilities. These meters are rigorously tested for accuracy before deployment and have proven highly reliable. NEP monitors and reviews meter data r... read more
I am very upset and confused and what a scam. I work 6 days a week and is gone 11 hours a day. I do not use electricity like that, because i am afraid of the continuous rip off that is happening. The world is sad and the way this company is pimping people out of there money, shame on you, and i could not as a person whom if i where the owner of this company I would not do this to people. Sometimes i feel like i am paying extra for those who skip out on paying there bills. Its very sad and I am over this wicked so called busi... read more
Not sure how this company has a A+ rating because its horrible the ridiculous prices theyre charging us for community charges outrageous for something that has nothingto do with renters. And the only reason were getting charged some of these common community charges is because the apartment complex reports it to the electric company And some of these things we dont even have the report to the company of Electric so when you really needs to look into this company the Management property people
Business response:
Hi *****,Thank you for your review and for sharing your concerns. We understand that common area usage charges can be frustrating and appreciate the opportunity to clarify how these charges work.Common area usage charges cover the electric and/or water costs for shared-use areas in your community. Your property has chosen to divide these costs equally among all residents.NEP bills common area usage on behalf of your property. We do not determine the allocation of these charges. We recommend contacting your property managemen... read more
Not sure how this company has an A+ with the bbb when they simply rip people off that live in appartments on there electric & water bills.I think a class action lawsuit should be filed.
I can't understand the usage I am charge for. I am gone 10 to 11 hours every day, don't run air conditioning during the summer and live alone. My gas, water and electric combined in a 2600 Sq foot house was less than I am paying for a 1000 Sq ft apartment.

Hello ****,Thank you for your review and giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. We value your experience as a resident of a Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP) partner community. Comparing usage and utility bills between a single-family home and an apartment is not straightforward. Although a units size is a consideration, many variables can impact usage in a unit. Some examples include location, weather, insulation, construction quality, appliance efficiency, heating/cooling efficiency, personal habits, etc. Consi... read more
I was not informed my property was apart of a class action lawsuit involving NEP. The suit is caused from raising rates, because they own the property we rent from. My bill is $225+ for an apartment. We are gone 8+ hours a day. Wish we could go back to AEP, as it was considerably less for the same square footage. I will never EVER live anywhere that has NEP again. Paying $59 extra for fixed rates as if they aren't up charging the usage as is!
