I was admitted to the hospital the first weekend of April and had to be transported to Athens Piedmont for surgery. The transport team was great! I also want to praise their billing department who has been incredibly patient as I applied for financial aide. They could have turned me over to collections but they did not. Today I opted to take advantage of their 40% discount and payment plan. They are understanding and flexible and have fantastic customer service! So I had a medical emergency in February I chose not to use the ambulance service. I just received a bill for almost $2000 due 4/24. What kind of scam services are you providing. I looked at the pick up and drop off and it’s my address. I will be calling bright and early Monday because clearly I didn’t use the ambulance service. What a scam. The fact that they wrote it up is beyond me. I know not to use the ambulance because their bills are astronomical. My son drove me to the hospital in his car.

On December 21, 2024, at 1:36 AM, the lack of professionalism and empathy displayed by Paramedic Don Reynolds nearly cost my 8-year-old son his life. During a severe pneumonia episode, Reynolds showed no urgency or care, dismissed my concerns, and made inappropriate comments. In accident with my great niece. I had 7 broken ribs and massive contusion on right hand that was bleeding profusely. Niece only had sore foot. Her mother and brother were at site and could have driven her to hospital as they were going there to see all that was wrong with me. She decided she needed to ride with me make sure I was ok. Came to back of ambulance and asked. Got in. They showed her where to sit. that's all. I get my bill and surprisingly get a bill for her for the same amount!
