He has been my PCP for approximately 6 years, I try not to go to him unless absolutely necessary. I agree with all the negativity sadly. He seems to rush you out, doesn't really listen to your concerns ,I know what is normal with my body and what isn't, and has written that a physical was performed when it wasn't. I am currently looking for a new PCP.

Seems as though appts are rushed, then when you get your summary visit, he says he discussed things with you that weren't, and that he did some sort of exam, but he never touched me. If he happens to have a student with him, he is a bit nicer than when he is alone with me. He doesn't listen because he is too busy with his face in the computer, so I feel like I'm a stranger every time I have to see him. Maybe he's under some sort of stress and takes it out on his patients. Time to go elsewhere.

Horrible experience. I went there because I can't afford the co-pay for the ER. I have a broken ankle. This doctor did absolutely nothing!!! I used my own boot, my own crutches, I can't take NSAIDS due to gastrointestinal issues and he refused to prescribe me anything for pain. My foot has swollen 3 times the size since I was there and he won't even return a phone call. I have seen Dr Franley a few times. I found him pleasant, easy to talk to, I felt he was a good listener and an all around pleasant person. The office is efficient and the staff is friendly
If you are looking for Family Practice, look elsewhere. Too many mistakes have destroyed my confidence. This is one unhappy young man. There are better choices in and around Ashtabula.
I have been seeing Dr. Franley for about 8 months as a PCP. The first few visits were great. He answered questions and seemed genuinely concerned. But the last visit was much different. I felt like he couldn't wait to get out of the exam room. It was almost as if he was annoyed about something. I will see what happens at my next appointment, coming up in mid March. Front desk staff are very cold and matter-of-fact. The nurses are always pleasant.
I saw Dr Franley for an orthopedic issue. He did take an xray and aspirated the swelling at my knee. During the procedure he let it be known how unhappy he is with his family practice patients, how overworked and undervalued he feels and is in general disgruntled. He did not order further testing for my knee and a second opinion and MRI by an orthopedist revealed the proper and different treatment I needed.
