He's a nice guy, and I think a lot of people would really like his personality. If you are the type of person who is looking for a no nonsense, "real", and down to earth primary care physician, I would really recommend Dr. Phelps. I've been seeing him for over a year now, and it's truly a breath of fresh air!
This doctor seems to be kind of checked out. He prescribed some medications that are contraindicated. He's also overly work efficient and dismissive of the patient and their needs
I could not recommend Dr. Phelps more highly (Including his awesome Nurse). It’s rare to find a doctor who genuinely listens and takes your concerns seriously, but that’s exactly what he does. He is a true advocate for his patients and has made a significant difference in my health journey. He is now the trusted doctor for my entire family, and we feel so fortunate to have found him. I took my almost 2-year old to Urgent Care 30-minutes before closing. Dr. Phelps was the physician on site and was extremely friendly and professional. He approached me first, introduced himself and when addressing my concerns, he looked me in the eyes as I spoke. My son is extremely resistant any time he has to be seen, but Dr. Phelps made him feel comfortable by taking a playful approach. I've been to Dr. Phelps several times now and I'm always impressed with how competent, empathetic, and kind he is. He always takes the time to really listen and ask questions about my symptoms so he can make a proper diagnosis. He (or his nurse) always follows up promptly when needed. I highly recommend him.
