I took my almost 2-year old to Urgent Care 30-minutes before closing. Dr. Phelps was the physician on site and was extremely friendly and professional. He approached me first, introduced himself and when addressing my concerns, he looked me in the eyes as I spoke. My son is extremely resistant any time he has to be seen, but Dr. Phelps made him feel comfortable by taking a playful approach. I've been to Dr. Phelps several times now and I'm always impressed with how competent, empathetic, and kind he is. He always takes the time to really listen and ask questions about my symptoms so he can make a proper diagnosis. He (or his nurse) always follows up promptly when needed. I highly recommend him.
I currently have back pain that is severely limiting my daily life. I went to Dr. Phelps to get some imaging done. He took 2 weeks to look at my x-rays. After calling his office multiple times, his medical assistant finally got on the phone and read the results to me off the x-ray itself (sounding out a lot of the words she didn't know). Dr. Phelps never called to tell me his interpretation of the results. After my insurance denied the first request for an MRI, I needed Dr. Phelps to send them more information for an appeal.... read more
Dr Phelps goes above and beyond to care for his patients. He listens to your concerns as a person, not just as another patient. I would highly recommend Dr Phelps without reservation.
The front office was very rude and disorganized. Dr. Phelps was late an hour and a half, another hour another time I didn't see him either appointment. I didn't like his medical assistant.
