Terrible place if you want help. One lady named Hannah discharged me because I was actively avoiding her and not going to my groups because of her. She wasn't even my therapist... Just a random art therapist who didn't know what she was doing and had no authority over that decision. They said Hannah left an email the week prior but she did not, and without a ride I had to wait to be picked up. Awful people there, do not go there if you want help. They don't care about anyone and only are there for business.

This was a recommendation from a local hospital after trauma occurred.Tge recommendation was that Quinebaug Day program on Dog Hill Rd would focus and tailor a program that would provide selfesteem and new strategies. Specialized with medication management and coping skills. How does that work in 3 weeks and you are kicked out the door with addition trauma visually on your face? Sad that the quiet corner staff are lacking support for their clients.

So on Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 9:50 AM, I arrived at Natchaug Hospital—Quinebaug Treatment Center for Mental Health Services in Killingly, Connecticut. As soon as I came in, “NICOLE” confiscated my bag. I pleaded with her, I needed my bag because it had my medications and my water, and also my fruits and Ensure that I needed. I told her I don’t want to drink the water from the 5-gallon container. I don’t trust it because it’s not sealed, and it can be tampered with because it’s not monitored 24/7. Also, I stated I’m not s... read more

Lazy and ludicrously expensive. Didn't learn anything here but was slapped with a $500 bill for just a single day. Counselor couldn't print out information copy-pasted from the Internet or read it properly, barely seemed able to think well himself, and seemed to have no idea what I was going through mentally and emotionally. He even bullied and teased me, not a good thing to do to people in mental crisis. They even started limiting the number of snacks and drinks we would get during breaks. Guess $500 a day isn't enough to a... read more
