I had a great experience and it continues. Started as a outside machinist sub and now a machinist planner/scheduler, instructor and safety representative. I am growing here to become a production supervisor. My trainees have grown fast here. I have one that is now a working foreman

Great company to work for. Get payed to learn a trade. Building/repairing oil tankers/Naval ships was always exciting, sense of pride and accomplishment we as a team had upon completion of a ship was second to none. Hard work but pay/Benefits plus Yearly profit sharing bonus was well worth it. Would Definitely Recommend Nassco as an employer. If I ever make my way back to San Diego wouldn’t consider working anywhere else.🤘

I have had the pleasure of retiring as a Master Shipbuilder after 40 years of working for General Dynamics NASSCO. I recommend anyone who is hard working to go down there and start building and repairing ships. Work Hard and Good Things will happen for you there.

working with people that make up stories and lies about people it's not very nice. working past the hour on your own time and the company not appreciating it. lost my job over this. I will say this no not decorate Christmas decorations on your own time you get terminated for that too, even if you are a salary employee.
