Just had the absolute WORST experience with one of the front desk employees/receptionists. She was horrible about answering questions regarding the need to schedule a New Patient exam. My husband even went in person and was sent away to request an appointment online. Wr did that over a week ago and when I called this morning I was told they are “swimming in requests and she is only working on a few per day”! I did not have a good experience at all. I was referred to NBI from my GP to further assess my mental health and possibly be screened for BPD. This was so that I could more easily tailor my medication/therapy to my actual needs. Dr Spivey made several off-putting or unprofessional comments, including talking about her own political views during an appointment (and I had to ask her to stop), talking about how Indian people’s teeth are yellow because “they eat so much turmeric”, being EXTREMELY pushy about “taking control” of ... read more
So grateful to have found Rebecca Spivey, PMHNP-BC, at NBI Chattanooga. Coming from a big practice that ran people in and out, it has been a much better experience here. Rebecca really cares about the people she is treating and it shows.
I cannot say enough good things about Rebecca and her team. She truly listened, helped me get the right diagnosis, worked with me to find the treatment that worked best, and was so compassionate and understanding through the whole process. Unfortunately this month brought insurance changes for me to a company that her office does accept. She was so kind to refer me to a colleague who accepts my new insurance, and make sure I had enough medication to bridge the gap.
