We had so much fun on the Nantahala. We were first-time rafters but it won’t be our last! Our guide, Julia, was AWESOME! Very professional but down-to-earth, safety-minded, and a lot of fun. She was the lead guide for 4 rafts on the trip. She was great at getting us prepared and we felt very confident in her abilities and knowledge. My 11 year old daughter was scared the whole time (not because of the rapids but that’s just my kid’s high anxiety) and Julia was very patient and encouraging with her. We love coming to the NOC but we just came this past weekend and did the zipline tour and it was awesome!! The tour guides Abigail and Andrew were awesome and fun!! we can't wait to go back!!
The staff was wonderful, we booked for one day and liked it so much came back the next day!!! It’s the most fun I’ve ever had
We (4 adults, and kids 13, 11, 9 & 8) did a half day fully guided rafting trip today and it could not have been better. Alex was our guide and trip leader and he was fantastic! Highly recommend NOC.
Our family visited NOC today and did the guided white water rafting excursion. This was our first time rafting and we were a bit nervous on what to expect. We did the beginner level and what a fantastic experience! There were plenty of relaxing moments along the river and just enough rapids to make it fun and exciting. Due to COVID, temperature checks were done before entering the premises and masks were required while on property. Life jackets and paddles were sanitized as we exited the boat. Wow.....we cannot say enough positive things about NOC. My husband & I took our first rafting trip ever , on the French Broad River, the other day. We used the Nantahala Outdoor Center , and I must say, the trip was top notch. I am re covering from ankle surgery, so am walking w/ a crutch. I was a bit nervous, but the staff/guides at NOC reassured me , that I would be fine. Nate was our raft guide and he was amazing. I felt totally safe and had the best time ever!!!
