Contrary to other anesthesiologists I’ve been exposed to Dr. Gonzalez bedside manner left a lot to be desired. She did not welcome questions on the anesthesia, made it clear it didn’t matter what the surgeon might have said about typical anesthesia for the procedure, was rude and very defensive in answering questions. Had I had a choice, I would have requested someone else for the job. Anesthesiologists should help make you feel good about their role, not apprehensive.
