We live in Montana, went to Garden City,SC for my birthday.Went to Nance’s for my B-Day dinner. September 13, steamed oysters were not in season yet so I ordered the flounder. It was horrible, I don’t think it was flounder maybe tilapia?? It was flat, tasted like cardboard… I told the waitress she blamed the kitchen. Didn’t offer to replace or take it off the bill. Top notch local seafood. Good service to boot.
View was best part of our time here. Not busy at all when other restaurants were packed. Guy server ok but dirty white oversized tshirt. We had come straight from a funeral so dressed up for here. Very noisy. Food ok some not hot. Hush puppies delicious. No steam pots due to no oysters yet. This was September 5th. I had deviled crabs good portions but they were cold no crunch to top. Okra was very good. The view made it worth it for ok food.
Great view, great service. We had the steamed clams and seafood platters. Well seasoned and very fresh. They make their own hush puppys if you like those things.
3 of us got sick a few hours after eating there. Not much to choose from on menu and definitely OVER PRICED!! I will say the waitress was pleasant but the food was awful! Crab legs way over cooked. Shrimp and scallops along with salmon just not at all worth the price!!!! Then we all got sick.. I see this place closing in the futute!
