Came here for a second time today and the quality of the food and the menu changed and went down. Paid $13 for a fried chicken burger with some cucumbers… I think the ones at 95k are better and more affordable. Also had to wait 10-15 minutes for the food even though there was only one other table seated in the restaurant. Didn’t even get any water and received an attitude from the cashier/server for asking questions about the menu.
Nanban is one of my favorite spots in Lawrenceville! They have a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options, and everything I’ve tried has been so good. I recently checked out some of their newer menu items, including the mac & cheese, collard greens, and Dan Dan Ramen, and I was seriously impressed. My all-time favorite, though, will always be the tofu bao buns.
You could describe this as a hole-in-the-wall, but the aesthetic fits. The food is delicious. I wouldn't have imagined chicken nuggets in ramen would be this good, but it is! The fried chicken is very lightly seasoned, but incredibly juicy. I really like this place.
