Good to see this happening. The human brain is the most complex organism in the universe that we know of. Lots of things can go wrong. Call it an illness or a gift. There are those of us that live with it, we're just like everybody else with their own problems.
I like their advocacy for many misunderstood and stigmatized people.
I support all NAMI chapters and programs. Let's work together to erase the stigma and discrimination.
I am so encouraged to see chapters of NAMI starting to get the word out via Facebook. The local chapters do so much towards education and de-stigmatizing mental illness. And I hope that the more we can realize that we are "challenged" in ways others aren't and not "sick" (and not able to do things), the more our folks are going to move forward, have happier and fuller lives! Thank you for your efforts and postings!
