This restaurant is our favorite place to go for special occasions.
From looking at comments me and my wife come here all the time and love the food and experience every time... looking at comments and bad reviews I'm guessing from what I see from reviews they are complaining about price but the same people complaining I bet don't complain at McDonald's or Taco Bell.. you want good food you pay for good food and this guy will back Nakato 100%
We’ve been coming to Nakato for years, but Saturday night we had the best service. Our chef was great, and our server Cisely was amazing. She stayed engaged with the table the entire meal, efficiently clearing plates and refilling drinks. Our toddler was pretty fussy and hungry - I asked when we ordered if we could get some steamed rice ahead of time so he could eat. She not only brought the rice, but some soup cooled with an ice cube. We appreciated that very much.
Our 1st time eating there... food was very delicious and our cook was funny. we had a great meal & most definitely left with full bellies. We liked it alot 😊
Always a good place to go for special occassions. i've been celebrating each of my children''s borthdays their for the last several yaers. Good times as always

The food was good but what ever happened to the show that is a part of the service. $1.75 extra for fried rice! That's a shame. And our server was there only a couple of times to make sure our drinks were full. I had to flag down another server to get my wife more water. Spent well over $200 for a group of 7 and expected more. Sorry Nakatos but the next time my family goes out for Japanese we will be going somewhere else.
I left a bad review a few months ago and it had nothing to do with the food. The server we had named Carol lyn was terrible. She let drinks get empty, didn’t bring my appetizer until after the food was being cooked and it was just bad service on her part. I am a server/bartender so i understand it gets busy but she had one other table at the time. We still left a reasonable tip considering because we know tips are shared and our chef was awesome. By far my favorite place to eat, and take our guest, who by the way all of them love it too, just filled a table with first timers last night and they loved it! Keep up the good stuff Nakato's. We also think it is the best sushi in Springfield or anywhere else.
