Nakato Japanese Restaurant comprises of three Japanese joints. Divided into a large, comfortable dining room for sit-down meals, a quiet sushi bar, and a hibachi bar, where some of the best Samurai chefs wield fast knives for your amusement, it is truly a unique sushi place. A lovely Japanese garden sets the tone for the subdued, traditional atmosphere. A variety of specialty dishes are offered, but most of the menu is served a la carte. A full bar featuring sake and beers like Kirin and Sapporo is available.

It was my first time here! The food was amazzzzzing. Everything was perfect!!
My Japanese Mom loves to come here for its authenticity and Japanese cultural charm. They NEVER disappoint. We are regulars for the bento box and the sukiyaki is as real as it gets. We were also here with a large party for her 90th birthday and we were truly treated like family. If you are looking for authentic Japanese food and atmosphere, this is your place. None other like it in Atlanta. For authentic Japanese New Years, try the once a year Osechi. Have to order in advance. Absolutely incredible!

I called at 9:31pm and spoke with Anita and she said the cut off time to call in an order for pick up is 9:30pm. I was told I have to drive to Nakato, which was 7 minutes away, to place an order for take out. It is evident Anita has no concern for courteous customer service. However, the food is always very delicious!
Nothing special over other hibachi places. The atmosphere was not as pleasing as other places either!
