Dr. Soofi has done both my Colonoscopy and EGD Tests over the years. He has always been very patient and detailed in his explanations of the details and outcomes of the procedures. He has always been firm but detailed on what needs to be done to avoid any more serious outcomes in the future. I appreciate his candor, counsel, and clear concern for myself as a patient. He is absolutely someone that should be a Doctor in his position.
Dr Soofi saw my mom for some chronic GI issues and for her endo /colonoscopy. He listened to her concerns, understood her desire for limited meds/procedures, and gave thorough feedback. she felt in very good hands throughout procedure. Thank you Dr Soofi for the good experience and expert advice.
Prev. History w. Large hospital for over 20 years. They saw & treated me most of my life. I was diagnosed w.Crohn's after ER visit & 3 subsequent colposcopies over 5 years Inc. Admis. to hospital sev. times for dehydration & pain. Dr. Soofi did 1 colonoscopy for < 30 mins & voided my ENTIRE 20 YEAR MED.Hist. He said I was "misdiagnosed". Who do I trust? A lg. Hospital w. Sev. Specialists & 20 years history or Dr. Soofi,1 test while not having a flair up? I have more questions than answers.

As a specialist, it's my duty to make sure that a diagnosis is accurate before I prescribe medications which could do more harm than good. Based on a review of your medical records, evaluation in our clinic, blood tests, and a colonoscopy with biopsies, I was unable to find any true evidence of Crohn's disease. There may be other causes for your past symptoms, and my ultimate goal is to help you in any way I can. I'm therefore truly sorry to learn that you were unhappy with the assessment.
Good listener, showed patience and empathy for medical history. Does not seem to feel the need to scare me to death to have surgeries unless absolutely required. Seems open to communicating and working with me.
I have Crohn's disease and kept telling Dr. Soofi how poor I was doing. It had gotten to the point where I could no longer go to work, I dropped a lot of weight, etc. In the office he told me "you look fine to me" and didn't do any testing. He even said he wasn't going to run any labs because "they were fine months ago." A week later I wound up in the hospital for 6 weeks, was put on TPN to get my weight up, and IV steroids. He completely dismissed me and only prescribed an anti-depressant.
