I had an excellent experience with GeneSight, all the way from the ordering, the test, the results, and the financial/payment process. The results from this test ended my decades long struggle to find psychotropic medications that would work well for me, as well as validating all of the "failed" medication trials that I had experienced before. As a healthcare professional and a service user, I highly recommend them.
I’ve literally been reaching out to this company for over a month to get a genetic test. My provider is on their approved list to call in a test that they recommended a certain panel when I emailed them. My doctor calls and they say they have no such test even though I have the email from the support saying they do. We’ve left multiple messages and emails. Seems like everyone’s on Netflix not working or this place is a complete scam.
Very satisfied with their results. People complaining of the $330 fee should be more upset with their healthcare provider as mine explained very clearly the possible payment plans and even gave me (unfortunately not sure where I put it), a copy of the page from the brochure/booklet that the associated psychiatric facilities receive to understand the testing and coverage. I am shocked from the reviews from patients who received an invoice for $330 for the testing. That is fully disclosed on GeneSight's website. This type of genetic testing is quite expensive, and though most insurance companies SHOULD cover it, some do not. You can't rely on your doctor to tell you whether a procedure is covered... that's not your doctor's job. You must reach out to your insurance company to discuss.
