During my first prenatal appointment i was offered this test through myriad genetics and was told that the price of it would be given prior to accepting it. When i went on to see the results and price it told me it was covered and would cost me $0, so of course i accepted it. A month later i get a bill for $750 which is absolutely absurd. I had my first gender testing when I was 9 weeks. It took 2 1/2 weeks to come back. It came back failed. I had my second gender testing when I was 11 weeks. It took 5 days to get to the lab and failed on first processing day. I just took my third gender testing 3 1/2 weeks ago for today finding out it failed once again. I was 14 weeks. I am now 16 weeks and have no clue what gender my baby is. I really don’t recommend doing this lab as I found it took forever and just kept repeating the same failed test. I get a different answer every time I call to inquire about MyRisk blood kit! I certainly HOPE the genetic testing is more thorough than the knowledge of their phone employees. This just adds to the stress of patients that are already in the darkest of situations!
Billed my insurance for over six thousand dollars after telling me that the testing was $1300 and that I would not owe anything. I have in writing from them that I will owe nothing. What a complete and total scam - I regret getting this testing at all.
