We bought our property thru MYND and let them lease manage it from day 1 The TENANT paid 3 mths of rent and have defaulted since. A lockout by the sheriff but MYND did not carry out the eviction and we were never even informed. Here's whats wrong with MYND: 1. We have never been briefed on the screening process. Please stay away from this company! They are the most unprofessional businesses I have ever dealt with. They are terrible with communication to tenants and owners alike. Additionally, they hire contractors that not trained in their field. We had Mynd's preferred contracting company install carpet and they they did such a horrible job. That's fine if the company can make it right, but they told us to hire someone else as they stated they didn't know how to install carpet. If you are a home owner and consider renting your property out with Mynd, PLEASE DON'T! I ended my contract after working with them for 2 weeks. The only thing they did during those 2 weeks was an inspection after I pushed for it several times. I bust my ass out to empty the house within 2 days so that they could start their work asap. But they just wasted my effort and time. I don't know if they don't have the resources to pay enough attention to each customer or they just don't take it seriously. Reached out to this company 3 days ago about a severe leak coming through the bathroom ceiling downstairs. They have yet to send anyone out. They had me take pictures and I sent a video. It shows a steady leak and that the ceiling drywall is staring to puff out (soft to the touch). I then reached out again regarding the situation, the next day. Lousy tenant selection! We had three in 10 months. Every time Mynd makes money and we lost. Unbelievable repair estimates. We got one for over $5,000 after our first tenant bailed in the dark. It said it needed full interior paint and repairs we could not find ourselves. When I raised hell about it, they they don’t use that Vendor any more. Baloney. I had it painted four months earlier.
