Despite no issues with our HVAC system, we initiated a maintenance call through American Home Shield. Following the technician’s departure, our HVAC began experiencing freezing issues. American Home Shield declined to cover repairs, citing Myers’s assertion that the problem was pre-existing. Subsequently, Myers contacted us, expressing a desire to replace the entire HVAC system. My A/C wall unit in my recreation room stopped working in June. I have American Home Shield, and they contracted with Myers for my service. The technician was pleasant when he arrived and said I needed avnew circuit board that they needed to order. I waited for two weeks, and the tech came back. The new circuit board did not work, so he said he would be back with his supervisor. They came back in approximately 10 days. The supervisor said I need a new plug for my 8 year old unit. I said OK. Do not use Myers. They were contracted with AHS and I have had to call them out 2 years in a row for the same leaking AC problem. Only now after having another company this year look at it, I realize they were just “putting a bandaid on it” and not fixing the real issue. I do not feel that the service techs have the knowledge or expertise to adequately service an AC. Especially when I can research and figure out what is wrong better than they can as a “professional”.
