the owner,Carrie, is very rude and seems to have a chip on her shoulder against "you Americans always trying to get something for nothing". I noted she argued with two black women about the service. If you purchase a facial or massage, please check the products for expiration dates. I noticed the products were runny and when I checked, all of the products had long expired dates which she pretended she had not noticed. I plan to call the department of health on her.
I have been here a few times..I get good service and the prives can't be beat..Carrie and her husband are every nice and attentive..I used to go to a different salon down the street but started coming here because of the prices and they have Sooo many colors..I recommend this place to anyone...thx Carrie for the great service...
I've been here multiple times over the past 10 years and the service has just gone down hill. Ever since the owner Jade left and Carrie took over, I find that maybe every other visit is good. Most of the staff is great and pays great attention to detail, however Carrie is just always in a rush which has become a problem not only for me, but as I've seen, for other customers as well. I am giving one star because I have to. DO NOT GO HERE. They have VERY bad business practices. They put up a smile and swindle your money. They sit with you down for a pedicure / manicure with people around you. Get the premium and GEL package mam. It lasts longer and its ONLY 20 $ extra. By the time you get to the counter you are paying them 80$ for a simple NOT so great pedicure and manicure. Be very careful with them!
This is the best nail spa! I have been going there monthly since we moved to our new house in the area. The staff is friendly, takes appointments, and always makes me feel comfortable. They offer cold beverages and wine, too. Also, the deluxe pedicure is great- so relaxing and well worth the extra $! I go to the same person each time, Tai, and he is the best!
I've been going to My Day Spa for several years and have always had a wonderful experience. Jade and Teresa do a wonderful job on nails. The pedicures are relaxing and well done. About the racist comment - Wow! I can't even imagine. If you knew their personal story and really knew them you would know that's not even a possibility. At any rate, I have recommended them time and time again and will continue to do so.
I'm really shocked by the previous reviews and that's putting it mildly! I have been going to My Day Spa for 6 years now and I've always had AMAZING service! Please do not go! Mr. Jay will rip you off especially if you are African American/ and I am White. I have gone 4 times and have observed how they operate. They appear to be very nice but at the same time he over charge you. He gave my friend gel polish and she did not ask for it and she told him this but he still charged her 28.00 for just a fill in and he also put a thin coat of acrylic so her nails would lift, which cause your nails not to last. I just read the negative review for My Day Spa and was shocked! I've visited most of the nail salons in the University area and have always come back to My Day Spa because of the wonderful service I receive each and every time. The staff has bent over backwards to get me and my daughters in and out in an hour before we went on vacation and it was a beautiful job. My gel nails were great!
