Dr. Jon Mcgough, MD has been my husband's PCP for approx. 5 years. DR Mcgough is kind, an excellent listener, patient, and very astute with etiology of symptoms. He educates the patient and family well as to the plan of care. Dr. Mcgough is one of the best physicians we have ever encountered.
This is the most efficient doctor's office I have ever been to!! I had an appointment to establish care and was so pleased with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff at every point of the visit. The nursing staff both in the clinic and lab were upbeat and kind. Dr. Roxon was thorough and attentive. My husband and I have had only positive experiences with MUSC Health providers, and this clinic was outstanding. Highly recommend for primary care services.
My experience with Martello Primary Care and MUSC scheduling perfectly illustrates why the U.S. healthcare system is broken. I have been trying to schedule a routine physical with Dr. McGough since last year, but every step has been met with delays, miscommunication, and a lack of accountability. The doctors I saw here were great, but the rest of the experience was not. I was allowed to book a physical appointment for 4PM, including blood work, but the lab staff was about to leave for the day so they wouldn’t do my blood work because they didn’t want to stay for an additional 15 minutes, even though the office would be open for another half hour or so, so I had to come back and then got billed incorrectly.
