Utterly APPALLING conditions for the psychiatric department at MUSC. The primary goal is to get the patient hooked on addictive drugs to numb them from the root of their ailment. The overall organization is not up to date on this day and age’s breakthroughs in research, nor do they show any care to keep up with it. I will never recommend the mental health department of MUSC to ANYONE. The nursing staff and therapists are kind and compassionate however
Rude and nasty attitudes from scheduling and operators. They have no sense of customer service. They cut you off abruptly when you call and are trying to politely reschedule or express your needs
Negative 5 stars. If you are putting in effort to admit you need help and go forth searching for that help then I suggest you run from this office.
Dr Joesph Redding is amazing and very supportive! My review isn’t about him but it’s about one of the ladies that’s a Dr there… I will warn you if you miss 3 appointments with her, you’re dropped from the program completely, but you still get to keep your therapist. So now I’m stuck having to find another Dr who will listen to me like she did and is willing to help me… if I hadn’t have lost the number for patient advocacy I’d be on the phone with them asap!
