My wife's just surgery on her ankle that had been broken in seven places. We arrived at the hospital at 6:15 because our arrival time was supposedly 6:30. This particular hospital seems to be very clean and the staff are very nice and accommodating. The doctor's there seem to be very knowledgeable and some of the best in the area. The only complaint that I could offer up would be that our 6:30 time for arrival ended up being that she was taken back for preparation at 8:00. Disturbing and Unprofessional ER Experience After Surgery My experience at MUSC’s Emergency Department with Dr. David Krusling was appalling. After excellent surgical care earlier that day (October 1, 2025), the ER visit that night was the complete opposite. I arrived with alarming symptoms—first a slowed, then a racing heart rate, tremors, and breathing difficulty—but staff were inattentive and unprofessional. During a difficult time after nearly losing my mother, I was met with cold attitudes and a doctor who seemed more interested in interrogating me than providing care. As someone with a military background, I expected more professionalism. Unfortunately, I felt my appearance influenced the treatment I received. In the Deep South, people sometimes react differently to those who look different — and that was my experience here.

My stay was unexpected I was having chest pain and that’s so scary i was taken care of and they found the problem fast They were very respectful the team on the 2300’ floor im as in 2311 the team was so nice prompt and so very caring from the day nurse and tech to the night nurse . Give them 5 stars if I could give 10 I would oh I can’t forget food service day especially so sweet special people . I will always say a prayer when I think about this season of my life .
