Shannon and Dr. Wallis are encouraging and have both found their calling for sure. FBT is not an easy process, yet successful treatment is possible with the help of the proper professionals.
Do not recommend, I came out more bulimic then I came in. My therapist was Rebekah Countryman, she made me feel like an idiot, made me feel like my identity was wrapped up in a number, frequently told me I was lying, and my overall health declined while I was receiving treatment.
Ex-patient here. The treatment they provided saved my life. The entire staff is amazing and they’re all very kind. My therapist, Rebekah Countryman is phenomenal. She truly was made for this job. If you or a loved one is struggling with an eating disorder, please consider applying. Recovery is possible.
This program is amazing. I searched for help for my 12 year old son for months when a friend told me to call them. He was given an evaluation within 5 days and started treatment the next week! His therapist was wonderful and gave him the tools he needed to conquer his fear of food. We met as a family to learn ways we can all help in his success! I cannot begin to describe how thankful we are for these people! Every person in that office treated us with the utmost respect and care!
My daughter has an eating disorder. We came here with little expectations, but a huge need for help. She suffers from other mental health challenges and can be resistant when asked to do things she may be scared of or just doesn't want to do. Liz McGuan is hands down the most patient and kind person I have ever met in this field, which is very important when dealing with patients who have various challenges.
