Worst experience ever at a doctors office. An arrogant know it all is what this man is. That's what happens when you have short man syndrome. He walked into the room and I didn't even get the chance to sit down before he said "what's wrong". So I told him.... Didn't care, didn't check me. Told me there's nothing he can do and leaves. Worst doctor. Horrible attitude. I would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone. Good luck dr.murphy because you need it.

I'd been in pain for weeks. Once I finally decided to take this beyond my regular doctor, this was the earliest appointment i could get. He seemed indifferent to my issue. I really had to press the matter to get any treatment. Seemed perfectly willing to send me away with a mere confirmation of my problem, which I could have googled myself. Diagnosed without xraying, or even touching the area. Palpated and physically tested the area after the fact. Never xrayed to confirm. I had bad pain in my forearm. Dr Murphy treated me for medial epicondylitis (pitcher's elbow) without doing any diagnostics ... cortisone shot. After nearly 3 weeks and no appreciable improvement, and hurting it 4 more times, I asked him to do an MRI. He told me "we don't need to do an MRI ... We know what's wrong.". I changed doctors, got an MRI, and found out I had a muscle tear, and never should've had a cortisone shot. I do NOT recommend Michael Murphy, hand specialist, in central Maryland.
