An oil-filter gasket blew out on my car, and I had Mundelein Automotive evaluate it since it occurred just down the block from them. I have come to learn an event like that (rather clearly) points to a faulty oil-pressure regulator/relief valve or related oil pump issue—not just a loose or improperly installed filter as they advised me. Performed a very thorough pre-purchase inspection of a used car - saving me a load of headaches! Reasonable price for the work and produced an extremely detailed report. Best money I've spent in quite some time! 5 stars plus!
Mundelein Auto has helped me on many occasions. They once even went out of their way to help my brother on a weekend who needed to get his car fixed so he could make it back home. Rick and team are honest and know what they are doing. I’ll continue to take my cars to them whenever I need any service. Prices are fair and service is great.
When I say these guys are prompt, they are PROMPT! I called and they picked up almost immediately. Didn’t even let the phone ring once. They took care of me next day and made my car feel newer than it was when I first purchased it. All the staff are extremely friendly and are very honest. I’ve never taken my car to any auto shop prior to this one and I can proudly say I’d stop by again if ever needed anything done to my vehicle
