My daughter's 2018 sentra sounded like she was driving with a bucket of nails in the rear end Thursday night Jan 22 2026. Called Nissan and just to look at the car they were charging a diagnostic fee and a week out for an appointment. Called 2 more places no appt for 1 to 2 weeks out. So thankful I found this mechanic shop last minute. I called ahead of time yesterday morning because my heater had stopped working. Right away they told me to bring in my car to have it be checked. They already had an idea of what that problem could be, they checked it and had it fixed within a couple of hours. Rick was very polite. I am very appreciative with them being so quick on fixing my heater issue knowing its the middle of winter too.
As a return customer, I’ve taken my 2010 Honda to Mundelein Automotive for several maintenance services, they have always been able to get me in within a day or two, prices are fair and I have been really happy with their honesty, expertise and work performed. Rick is responsive and keeps you informed on the status of your car. Highly recommend!
An oil-filter gasket blew out on my car, and I had Mundelein Automotive evaluate it since it occurred just down the block from them. I have come to learn an event like that (rather clearly) points to a faulty oil-pressure regulator/relief valve or related oil pump issue—not just a loose or improperly installed filter as they advised me.
