Has no problem picking up trash but a sudden issue getting recycling cans and haven't for now 3 weeks. Also their closing hours online are lies. Called and closed at 3 and was told to call at 3 to report....rude
Left a bag of trash in the middle of the road and when confronted the guys said he would go get it but never did! Disrespectful and so rude!
I’m rating the Muncie Sanitation Dept 4/5 stars because no one or anything is completely perfect. I think the trash men have under-rated jobs…like the post office workers (mail main/women). Anyway, the only complaint I do have is… the last few weeks my totes haven’t been fully emptied. There’s always some trash or even a full bag of trash still left in my totes!!! I’m assuming they aren’t lifting the totes high enough or simply just aren’t tilting the tote enough to fully empty it. I mean, other than these last several weeks... read more
update: the day i made the review they picked up the toter; thank you! contacted them about 3 weeks ago because my house came with a halfway snapped toter, they brought a new one but did not pick up the old one. i’ve called and communicated with 4 different people now and i’ve been told the same thing that basically it’ll get done on trash day, just set it apart from the other 2 (which i’ve done.) this toter has been sitting on the side of the road for 3 weeks in total now. very frustrated with this and my problem is still u... read more
I want to give some praise to the men who do the old west end (s gharkey st etc) on Thursday. Multiple times I forgot to pull my trash cans and the young man took the time to pull them and get trash. They all wave at my children every week and honk the horn for them multiple times. It's priceless to them. Memories they will always have. May all of them prosper off that alone. Hope they see this. Amen.
