Found out my mom was taken to Tacoma general. I left work and found my mother with severe shortness of breath (SOB). I was told that she might not make it by my sister who was there before me. We notified the charge nurse that mom had a very big family. They said they would accommodate. Well 30 of her grandkids and her kids were there within the hour. Went in to ER for severe knee pain. The doctor came in and stated “I will not give you any drugs.” I told him that I wasn’t there for drugs, just sever knee pain. The doctor said that he still would not give me any medication for the pain. I got up and left. Went to St. Joseph’s hospital and the doctor actually did an exam with MRI and I had surgery one week later. I also was given a pain killer for the week I was off and two weeks after surgery. Suffered a fall 7/25/2022 - knee went out getting out of shower - dislocated right shoulder and broke arm. Drove self to ER and arrived approx 10:40 pm- admitting nurse demanded payment of $200.00 - in EXTREME pain - told would not be checked in for care until I made payment. Due to shock of pain, needed to use restroom desperately and over a 3 hour time frame requested assistance from 3 different nurses - was totally ignored.
