As the co-founder of Oakwood Family Institute, an outpatient treatment center for teens and young adults, I coordinate care with many residential treatment centers and occasionally have the need to refer high-risk clients. We do not hesitate to refer our clients and community members to Muir Wood because we have seen first hand the caliber of treatment, quality of clinicians and the commitment and care of their leadership team. I can't express enough gratitude for the Muir Wood Teen Treatment program. My son stayed there for 38 days, and it completely transformed his life. Not only did his mental health improve dramatically, but his lifestyle, food habits, and daily routine all changed for the better. The staff and team members were incredibly supportive every step of the way, always patient, kind, and professional. I truly believe Muir Wood gave my son a new lease on life, and I can't thank them enough.
Entering into Muir Wood's residency program for us (parents) and (son) was somewhat of an unknown, yet we trusted the reviews and recommendations from our IOP provider and other families who's child had participated in the program. Luckily for us own son decided on his own (with coaching from us & others) to attend.
