Two weeks post shoulder surgery. Just taking a moment to thank Dr. Michlitsch and the entire Muir Orthopedic team for taking such good care of me!
Was called in to doctors office right on time. Had to wait 50 minutes for doctor to come in to give my elderly mother who has dementia , a cortisone injection that took 10 seconds. This is not the first time, I’ve been going to Muir Orthopedics for years and the problem is real. Walnut Creek office is much better. Wait forever in the San Ramon office.
I was seen > 2 weeks ago, and because I finally called yesterday, NOW they are submitting my MRI for insurance approval. The first doctor at John Muir asked for an MRI but said that my arm was broken, my shoulder was cracked and after 2 weeks, the MRI was refused by insurance because it does not look at bones. I believe what I was shown in San Ramon is that the bone (in addition to being cracked) is not in the socket as it should be. Great gym with up to date equipment. Both Helena and Nicole have been great; creating a treatment plan and home program that is resulting in great progress for me. Front end staff are welcoming and helpful.
