We have been providing excellent state-of-the-art OB-GYN care in the East Bay since 1978, when Bud Rotermund and Lu Hughes joined their practices to form Muir OB-GYN. The same goal of compassionate care delivered in a personal way with the top priority being the well being our patients has been maintained throughout the years. We are proud to be the area's most enduring group practice. Our doctors and nurse practitioners are among the most accomplished and experienced in the East Bay.

I was told to “have a great day” by the MA after being seen for a miscarriage. I was nervous to post the details. I work for this healthcare company and the unprofessionalism is disgusting.
I feel validated by some of the other reviews I’ve seen on here regarding this offices’ views on patients who decline to use birth control. I hope others who have had similar experiences feel they can speak out. The OBGYNs I have seen here are judgmental and dismissive and will not hear anything else you have to say if you decline the pill. To be clear, I’d like to have children in the next year so it’s a valid decision that was still met with resistance and judgment by my doctor. I do not recommend. The nurses and front desk staff are wonderful. But unfortunately my OB experience was too bad to recommend this spot for care. I’m sure that my Dr was extremely knowledgeable in his field, but he should not be working in women’s health. You need to have a degree of empathy and understanding. You don’t have to be female, I’ve had other male OBs and nurses in the past who get it. This Dr did not. And everyone has moments where they want to moan/laugh about something at work. Been going here since I was 14 (I’m now 28) and was never consistent with one provider as the ones I liked kept leaving. I’ve been seeing Linda Shui for the last several years - she’s okay, not my go-to, but I decided to stick with her because I was tired of changing providers almost every year. My last annual with her back in May was a horrible experience to say the least. After almost 15 years of being a patient here, I’m not coming back.
