Best scissor cut in the city! – After having followed my barber Jim from each salon shop he has worked at for over ten yrs. I was so happy when he decided to once again to own his own shop. Great cut, great color, great guy – Although I am in the minority (a woman), I would highly recommend Jim's barber shop to all women. Why, you ask? Because there's alot of men there! No, truthfully, I am extremely particular about my hair. I get the best cut of my life, as well as color. I previously had never had a barber cut my hair, but now I realize that barbers are the best trained to cut hair. And Jim is the best.....

Always a Great Cut – I've been going to Jim for about 5 years now, and I am always happy with my haircut. Whenever I'm not sure what I want, he comes up with ideas that always work. The prices are great too. But it's Jim's warm and friendly personality that keeps me coming back.

Great independent rock 'n roll barbershop – First, and most important, Jim can cut hair very well. Aside from that, he's got a great shop, is friendly, and is very knowledgable about music and local happenings without being pretentious. Oh, and his charges are very reasonable, one might say cheap except for the value you get. Check it out and say Eric sent you... (that doesn't get you a discount, I already said his prices are great, ya cheap fool).

very good barber, great conversations – Mug and Brush will treat you right! Very reliable, great haircuts. Been with Jim for many years. Would recommend to anyone, no matter what kind, style, color, etc. that you want.

One of the Best! – I've been coming the Mug-N-Brush for over a year now. Jim is one of the best barbers I have had since I moved to columbus in 1999. He's got a great personality and he's a lot fun to talk to. He's been in the business for quite awhile and always does a great job with my cuts. The shop itself is getting a few updates added. Once it is complete its going to look great. Thanks a lot Jim!

Jim's the greatest! – I'm extremely picky about my hair and have "broken-up" with many stylists in Columbus because the first cut is cool and every subsequent cut was a journey downhill. Jim has been cutting my hair for around a year now. He's wonderful; his technique is consistent. He always gives me great cuts with an edge...he gets that I don't want to look like a soccer mom. The shop is definitely part of the experience, too - it's fun to get there a little early just to enjoy the atmosphere.

More than a cut, it's an experience – Jim has been cutting my hair for almost 6 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I left town for a year and always tried to plan my haircuts around return trips to Columbus. The atmosphere of Jim's shop is relaxed and comfortable, the conversation is always great.
