WORST SERVICE EVER!! I took my car to muffler man here in Gainesville, Florida at 8:00 a.m. to have my exhaust manifold repaired which took at least 6 hours to finish. The person in charge ( Greg ) knew the problem with my car the day before and ask me to bring it in at 8:00 a.m. the next morning so that I could be in and out... that wasn't a true statement at all. Bad Experience We had a vibration/rattling noise in the area of the muffler of our 96 Honda. Initially, they seemed happy to take care of the problem. They attributed the problem to a faulty muffler and replaced it even though it was ONLY two years old. After driving away, it was apparent that they had NOT fixed the problem as the rattling was still there. After a couple of days, the noise actually seemed to get louder. Great Work, Great Prices I've gone to the Muffler Man 2 times now for exhaust work on a 99 Mustang GT. Both times while the new "jerk" owner has been there and I've had 2 great jobs at great prices. Someone commented on the staff being young, but everyone there is very knowledgeable and helped me get exactly what i wanted despite their age. Owner is a very knowledgeable person who knows what various parts and services cost and quoted me as low or lower then anywhere else I have gone. 1st job was done a few months ago and it ... read more
Muffler Man My Muffler man experience is really bad. I have been there once to change oil and caliber air pressure. It turned to be disatisfatory. They added too much oil, above the maximum line. I can hardly see any air pressure change. They lied to me when I asked if they did everything and if anything was abnormal.
Do NOT go here!!! I needed a starter for a 94 Merc Sable; their price for the starter alone was 229.00 - I ended up purchasing it myself for 144.00. Their cost for labor was 150.00 - found local mechanic to install for 35.00. Total cost their way: $379.00; total cost my way: $189.00. Also....total of all repairs quoted (which included an oil change (22.00) and tune up) : $600.00. That means the tune up was $200.00. I had the car towed elsewhere to have the work done. Thank You Jeremiah and Rob! Great work, price and service March 7, 2010: Jeremiah is a working owner/manager and from what I saw, he is involved in every repair to see that everything is right. Rob did a fantastic job with the brakes on my F250. I knew my brakes were shot but I was trying to nurse my truck back to NJ until I got stranded in Gainesville when the brakes went from bad to worse. Bottom Line: I got a great job at a great price. Good work for a fair price I had several quotes to have an axle changed on my '98 Subaru Outback. Muffler Man was, by far, the least expensive. The job was done properly and quickly. I can't comment on their diagnostic ability, but if you know what needs to be done it's hard to beat their price.
