RecommendedI've been craving a great cappuccino for weeks now and I knew that a corporate chain was not going to satiate my taste buds. I had seen Mud and Char while driving past and finally stopped in today. What a wonderful place! The staff is very friendly, and the cappuccino was the best I've had in years. I also had a blueberry muffin (I was told it was banana nut but it was so delicious that I didn't care!) I look forward to returning and trying more food options, all of which looked delicious.

What a much needed and welcome addition to Downers Grove. Excellent food, awesome coffee/drinks selection, great vibe, friendly & helpful service. The people around us were comparing notes about cities they've lived in previously and how Downers was lacking in coffee culture - Mud and Char has fixed that!

Love the owner & fresh, healthy food.
I went to Mud and Char with my husband and two kids. The restaurant was beautiful and our meals were delicious! The staff was very helpful and informative. I look forward to trying the breakfast boxes on my next visit.
