Dr. Muccio replaced my left knee in June 2016 and my right knee in March 2017. I am prone to scar tissue so he had to manipulate my right knee in June 2017. He has magic hands! I am very happy and highly recommend him to anyone needing knee replacements! Please remember that it is a commitment of three months for physical therapy and one must do their best in order to be successful.

Wanted to order every test in the book on a broken wrist. Had a second opinion and had surgery off the xray only.

Business response:

Always appreciate feedback, either positive or negative...can't improve without both. I only get CT Scans on wrist fractures that are either in a lot of pieces or go into the joint (or both). This imaging study allows me to see the fracture in much more detail than a standard x-ray & assists me in either making a decision for surgery or to plan the surgical procedure itself. CT scans are considered the "Standard of Care" in scenarios such as this, regardless of the joint involved.

Very condescending and rude. He doesn't communicate well.

Dr. Muccio has been our family orthopedic for over ten years. He is wonderful with adults and kids both. His knowledge is exceeded only by his communication skills and friendly manor. We love him and would highly recommend him!

Dr. Muccio has treated my son for fractures and my husband for an ankle injury in the past. He is an excellent and very thorough doctor. I will definitely seek treatment with him if any orthopaedic problems arise.

He is rude very unprofesional. Accused me of lying about missed appointments that i never had. Treated me like a pill seeker although i have a broken displaced wrist. Do not see him. My wrist is out of place 3 weeks later and he expects me to wait 2 more weeks before he will do anything. Its absolutley ridiculous to get an appointment or a straight answer. I wouldnt take my exhusbands dog to see this man. What a jerk

Dr. Muccio recommended rotator cuff surgery for me on the basis of a written MRI report. A second shoulder surgeon suspected that the tendon tear was only an incidental finding and not the source of the pain. He gave me a cortisone shot into the deltoid bursa and a month of physical therapy I am using my arm normally once again. I thus avoided the unnecessary surgery recommended by Dr. Muccio.

Business response:

I am a very conservative surgeon. It is not likely that I would recommend surgery unless: 1. conservative treatments (nonsurgical) have failed first, 2. are unlikely to provide long term relief, or 3. nonsurgical treatment could lead to loss of function if surgery not performed in a timely manner.
