I am already scheduled for a surgery with another hospital and wanted to see Dr. Shockley for a second opinion because she is a specialist and has amazing reviews. The scheduling people at Emory (2 different ones) will not allow you to meet with Dr. Shockley for a second opinion re: a gyn (and high stakes outcome) surgery unless you first agree to see another Emory Ob/gyn (generalist, not specialized surgeon, $75 copay) who agrees you are deserving of an appt with Dr. Shockley. The best Dr.! The care she has with her patients is remarkable. She’s always training the next generation and I am thankful for that because to learn from Dr. Shockley is an honor. And did I mention she is PHENOMENAL at what she does. She’s incredibly intelligent. I am incredibly grateful that God blessed me with this woman.
Dr.Shockley is a professional dr. Very caring, she explains and takes time to listen to every concern you have. I had a big surgery with her , she did an awesome job and I’m blessed that God put me in good hands like hers.
